Consumers must be able to count on healthy, safe and sustainable meat products. This requires:
- Hygienic and fully food-safe production processes.
- Transparency: we always want to know exactly where the meat comes from and communicate openly about each part of the supply chain
- Continuously work on developing healthier products (less fat, less salt, fewer allergens, fewer E-numbers)
- Sustainable business in all areas
Quality is, therefore, a comprehensive concept in the meat processing industry. Van Loon Vlees is committed to improving the quality of its products continuously and ensuring optimal protection. Our QA (Quality Assurance) department focuses on this daily, along with everyone else at our company.
Meat products are perishable products. Our processes and systems are, therefore, fully adapted to optimising hygiene and food safety and constantly being monitored. Van Loon Vlees is IFS Higher Level certified.
Each year, we carry out a wide range of internal audits (including Hygiene, Order and Neatness) and undergo many external audits. We also carry out thousands microbiological analyses each year, including raw materials, end products and process water.
Van Loon Vlees and the other Van Loon Group companies strive to make each step in the chain fully transparent. This makes the whole process (‘from farmer to plate’) clear to us, but also to our clients and ultimately the consumer. We always know exactly what the source of meat is. That offers a feeling of security.
Van Loon Vlees has SKAL certification (for organic meat processing), IKB, Varken van Morgen and IFS Higher Level as well as a variety of Beter Leven Kenmerk Certifications.
